After over a year of waiting and hesitating, I finally pulled the trigger on a Canon Digital Rebel XT EOS 350. During That time, I spent countless hours on the net reading countless articles and reviews and viewing sundry galleries and forums.
On any given day, I would read an authoritative review, wade through a torrent of forum posts, or uncover an otherworldly photo gallery that would 'settle it' for me in buying this or that camera . . . only to encounter another review, forum or gallery that made me doubt whether the "camera of the moment" was really for me.
I Knew loads of information on all Kinds of cameras but did not know which would really fit my needs, which would really satisfy me. Finally, I decided on the Canon Digital Rebel XT and after my first major use - photographing a music festival - I am pretty happy with my decision. I am still sorting which lenses and accessories I need or don't, but nonetheless, I'm confident that the XT is an excellent choice for me and others as an SLR - digital or film.
This blog is to help others better understand whether the Canon XT suits their needs and how to use the Canon XT as quick and easy as possible. The blog will do this in two primary ways . . . first, by sorting through the myriad of articles, reviews, posts and galleries, highlighting and commenting on the most informative, inspiring or useful and second, by documenting my own experience and growth in photography from a background as a newbie to photography, other than point n shoot.
In short, to have the type of blog I would want if I was considering or currently using a DSLR.
